Title:
METHOD AND KIT FOR DETECTING TRICHOPHYTON
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/061618
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a method and a kit which are capable of easily detecting whether trichophyton is present or not in a target region of the skin of a subject. In order to achieve this objective, the present invention provides a method for detecting whether trichophyton is present or not in a target region of the skin of a subject, the method comprising the steps of: (a) preparing a first reagent, which includes a first support having a polar surface and a release substance which is derived from the target region and adhered to the polar surface, and a second reagent which includes a second support and a keratinase substrate bound to the surface of the second support; (b) after step (a), bringing the release substance in the first reagent into contact with the substrate in the second reagent under a condition in which the enzymatic reaction of keratinase proceeds; and (c) after step (b), detecting whether the substrate in the second reagent decomposes or not.
