Abstract:
A method of knitting a knit fabric which can be knitted by using a weft knitting machine, is dense in knitwork and high in strength while having proper flexibility, and is usable as clothes without modification and the knit fabric knitted by the method. The meted of knitting the knit fabric knitted by using the weft knitting machine comprises the steps of: a) supplying an inlay yarn to the trick gap parts of needle beds and inserting it between a stitch locked to a needle on the front needle bed and a stitch locked to a needle on the rear needle bed. b) transferring the entire part of the stitch locked to one of these needle beds to the needle on the other opposite needle bed and, while locking the stitch to the needle on the other needle bed, performing transfer knitting forming, by the needle on the one of the needle beds, stitches through stitches moved to the other needle bed by a ground yarn, c) knitting, by the ground yarn, one course of stitches with the needle on the other needle bed, d) knitting, by the ground yarn, one course of stitches with the needle on the one of the needle beds, and e) repeating the steps of a) to d) above.
