Abstract:

Disclosed in the present invention are a method for knitting a structure at an armpit of a fully fashioned flat knitting machine garment and the structure at the arm pit thereof. A flat knitting machine with more than one pair of front and rear needle beds extending in the left and right directions and opposite each other in the front and rear directions is used; when sleeves and a main piece are combined, a horizontal connecting section is independently knitted, and a needle for the horizontal connecting section is moved to the left or right for connection to a main piece horizontal section of the adjacent main piece; needles for the sleeve pieces are correspondingly moved to the left or the right to connect horizontal sections of the sleeve pieces to one side of the horizontal connecting section adjacent to same; and the structure at the arm pit is formed after knitting the horizontal connecting section. The knitting method breaks through the limitations of a traditional product technique, and can knit a long horizontal structure at the arm pit; and the structure at the arm pit improves the wearing comfort of the garment while also improving the pattern of the garment, and provides a novel method for fully fashioned knitted garment structures.
