Abstract:
A method for knitting a tubular fabric having a border pattern by using a weft knitting
machine in which a level difference occurring at a knitting yarn switching position
is suppressed. First color portion of a border is knitted circularly in one direction,
a second color portion is knitted circularly in the other direction, and after
a knit loop is formed between knitting of the first color portion and the second
color portion by feeding the knitting yarn of first color portion to a needle for
locking an adjacent stitch over the border of circulation, steps for forming
a tuck loop by feeding the yarn to a needle following this needle and then forming
a knit loop following the knit loop by feeding a yarn to a needle for locking a knit
loop formed by the knitting yarn of first color portion and by the knitting yarn
of second color portion are inserted.
