Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of laundering fabric comprising the steps of: (a) contacting a detergent composition comprising: (i) detersive surfactant; (ii) phenolic antioxidant (iii) percarbonate; (iv) optionally, a bleach activator capable of forming C1-C11 alkyl substituted peroxycarboxylic acid; and (iv) hueing dye, with water to form a wash liquor comprising from 60ppm to 2750ppm detersive surfactant, from 0.1ppm to 200ppm phenolic antioxidant, from 10ppm to 3000ppm percarbonate, optionally from 2ppm to 1000ppm bleach activator, and from 0.005 to 500pm hueing dye, and from 0.001ppm to 10.0ppm iron, and having a pH in the range of from greater than 7.0 to 12.0; (b) contacting fabric with the wash liquor; and (c) laundering the fabric.
