Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for leaching and extracting a valuable metal and a sulfur element from low nickel matte, comprising: adding a ferric iron salt solution and an organic solvent into low nickel matte scraps, introducing an oxidizing gas in a stirring state for reaction, and separating a solid slag layer, an organic layer, and a water layer after the reaction is completed. In the present invention, the low nickel matte is subjected to oxidation leaching by means of the oxidizability of ferric iron ions; in the whole reaction process, iron in the low nickel matte is leached and is then oxidized to form ferric hydroxide, only water and oxygen are consumed, and ferric iron is consumed only when metal ions of nickel, copper, and cobalt are leached; and elemental sulfur generated by the reaction is dissolved by means of the organic solvent, so as to avoid a passivation layer from being formed to hinder the reaction. According to the present invention, the process procedure is short, the reaction can be performed under normal pressure, the requirement for a device is low, the production cost is low, a blowing process for an intermediate product, i.e., high nickel matte, is omitted, waste of the valuable metal is avoided, the investment cost is reduced while auxiliary materials are saved, and the present invention is suitable for industrial promotion.
