Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a vehicle and a method for limiting vehicle speed at the time of evasive travel, and in a vehicle driven by battery blocks connected in parallel, at the time of evasive travel in which a vehicle travels with a portion of malfunctioning battery blocks isolated, overcharging of normal battery blocks by regenerative power is prevented. The present invention includes the following: a step (S1) for determining whether a vehicle is engaged in evasive travel in which the vehicle is caused to travel in a state where a portion of the battery blocks, from among the plurality of battery blocks connected in parallel, are isolated; a step (S2) for, during evasive travel, calculating the regenerative power that can be received by the battery blocks used for vehicle travel; a step (S3) for calculating the limiting speed of the vehicle, on the basis of the receivable regenerative power, so that the regenerative power when the vehicle is braking does not exceed such receivable regenerative power; and a step (S4) for limiting the speed of the vehicle so that the speed is no more than such limiting speed.
