Abstract:
A method of lining an existing pipe P such as a sewage pipe, a city water pipe and a gas pipe, which comprises inserting thereinto a tubular lining pipe R formed by spirally winding a strip material composed of a long plate. A joint roller section and a guide roller section are arranged around a mounting frame so that rotary driving at the joint roller section provides rotating pipe manufacturing and leaves a pipe body already formed, and causes a strip material newly supplied forwardly of the pipe body to additionally form a lining pipe. A lining tube of a given diameter is obtained by means of the rigid mount frame. Also, the mount frame is given flexibility to accommodate itself to a pipe having a rectangular section. Further, the strip material to be newly supplied is fed a distance longer than a movement of the joint roller section to cause sliding of joint portions of the strip material of the pipe body already formed to expand the lining pipe in diameter.
