A loading method capable of loading vehicles in the same arrangement as when vehicles are actually loaded, a loading program and a recording medium. After preparing basic data (S1), vehicles are loaded in an arrangement range (S2). A second arrangement range is set at the end in X-axis direction of the arrangement range (S3). Vehicles are loaded in the second arrangement range (S4). Then, a total occupied floor area of loaded vehicles is calculated (S5). Next, the final-row vehicles in the arrangement range are removed one row-by-one row, and a new second arrangement range is set (S6, S7). Vehicles are loaded in this new second arrangement range, and a total floor area occupied by vehicles is calculated (S8, S9). Then, respective total occupied floor areas are compared (S11) to determine an arrangement having the largest total occupied floor area as an optimum arrangement (S12).
