Abstract:
A seamless inflatable tube comprises two cover layers (1, 6), covering the width of the web and is folded in the manner of a bellows into at least four layers, with folded edges extending in the direction of the warp. The tube is woven by means of a fly-shuttle weaving machine and the warp threads which form the folding layers between the cover layers are led within the width of the web and form a shed for each folded layer. The sheds for the individual folding layers are opened for introduction of the weft in the direction of the shuttle, sequentially in rotation to form the individual folding layers.
