Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for machining toothed workpieces, particularly for plastic deforming the end-face tooth edges thereof, by means of tooth engagement with a machining tool, particularly a chamfering tool, rotating freely about the rotational axis of said machining tool, wherein the machine tool is caused to perform a traversing movement between the machining of one workpiece and the machining of a next workpiece to be machined, wherein the machining tool is caused to perform a rotational movement that positions a tool region intended for initial engagement with the workpieces suitably for the machining of the next workpiece in the event of unsuitable positioning, said rotational movement being effected by a coupling, at least in certain segments, with the traversing movement.
