Abstract:
A method of making hollow articles by deep-drawing under changing fluid-pressure. A press (3) for making hollow articles by deep-drawing comprises a high pressure vessel (1) with a female (3) and a male (4) dies therein. The workpiece (14) is placed in a ring-shaped high pressure chamber (16) connected with a high pressure chamber (19) of a fluid-pressure converter (20). The press comprises as well a means (27) for regulating the pressure in the ring-shaped chamber which is exerted on the peripheral area of the workpiece, a pressure presetting device (39) being executed as a changeable cam with a profile following a curve characterizing pressure changes in the ring-shaped chamber (16).
