Abstract:
A method of efficiently and systematically making a methyl compound containing arsenic, etc. as a component harmless. The method of making a methyl compound harmless is characterized by reacting a methyl compound of at least one element selected from the group consisting of arsenic, antimony, and selenium with an organic halogen compound to convert the methyl compound into a more harmless substance. A preferred embodiment of the method of making a methyl compound harmless is characterized in that the element is arsenic.
