Abstract:
A model making method for preoperative simulation models includes a first step of acquiring geometric information from an medical image and creating required volume data about an organ, a second step of manipulating the volume data and determining the position and attitude of a specified organ specified by the operator suitable for the medical operation, a third step of making a blood vessel model connected to the specified organ according to the position and attitude of the specified organ, a fourth step of creating new volume data by giving a fat model having a predetermined thickness to the periphery of the predetermined organ included in the volume data created at the first step with the blood vessel model connected, a fifth step of meshing the organ of the created new volume data, a sixth step of operating a template model having a predetermined shape by means of a template and placing the template model around the made blood vessel model, and a seventh step of making a line-segment model on the basis of the placed template model.
