Description

METHOD OF MAKING PATTERN WITH LASER HAVING HIGH EFFICIENCY FOR

TEXTILE PRODUCTS

The Related Art The invention relates to the method of making pattern with laser in the textile sector, which provides making pattern by removal of the dyestuff on various textile products, especially denim fabric, via laser; and which reduces energy and other costs by minimizing the damage of laser on the fabric by means of optimizing the wavelength of the laser used and by increasing the operation speed by means of improving the laser beam absorption capacity of the dyestuff on the fabric.

The Prior Art

Nowadays, it is possible to make pattern on desired areas of trousers etc. ready made clothing products made of denim fabric during production of said fabric in the textile sector. In this way of making pattern, the textile product made of denim fabric is exposed to infrared laser beams. In the textile product that is exposed to laser, the dyestuff on the dyed yarns forming the structure is removed via absorption by means of laser. In this way, with the impact of laser on the textile product, patterns or visual effects are formed on the product. Briefly, the dyestuff on the relevant textile product fabric is burnt via laser beams and thus pattern is formed on the fabric. In the prior art, the infrared laser beams sent onto the relevant textile product for implementation of this operation have about 10.600 nanometres (10.6 micrometers) wavelength.

Above described prior art methods of making pattern with laser have some disadvantages. One of these drawbacks is having low absorption, or in other words, burning impact on the dyestuff on the relevant textile product fabric as a result of sending high wavelength infrared laser on the textile product for making pattern. That is to say, the infrared laser sent onto the relevant textile product can not completely burn the dyestuff in the product structure while pattern is being made. Therefore, the absorption capacity of the infrared laser beam becomes low. This situation both prevents making of the desired pattern in a hard-edged manner and the operation speed for making pattern stays low. Another disadvantage of the prior art methods of making pattern with laser is having very low performance and efficiency in the operation of making pattern and burning due to the low operation speed. Low efficiency and performance in making pattern directly impacts and reduces the efficiency of the machine used. And this reduces the level of production made as a result of this operation.

Another disadvantage of the prior art methods of making pattern with laser is exposing the relevant textile product to infrared laser beam with high wavelength for a long period due to the low operation speed in making pattern. In this way, the yarns forming the structure of the relevant textile product that is exposed to high wavelength laser beam are also damaged by these beams. In other words, yarns are sort of burnt and especially durability etc. quality parameters are negatively affected. Reduction in the quality parameters of yarns negatively affects the quality of the relevant textile product in general terms.

Another disadvantage of the prior art methods of making pattern with laser is the increase of all production wastage, especially energy, as a result of using laser beam for a long time while making pattern. Increase of wastage brings about a certain level of cost and this leads to additional costs for production. This increase in cost has direct impact on the production costs of the relevant textile product on which pattern is made. And marketing and sale of the textile products with high production cost becomes more difficult.

As a result; the need for a method of making pattern with laser in the textile sector, which eliminates the above said disadvantages, provides making pattern by removal of the dyestuff on various textile products, especially denim fabric, via laser; and reduces energy and other costs by minimizing the damage of laser on the fabric by means of optimizing the wavelength of the laser used and by increasing the operation speed by means of improving the laser beam absorption capacity of the dyestuff on the fabric, and the inadequacy of the prior art solutions have necessitated an improvement in the related technical field.

Purpose of the Invention The invention is formed by being inspired from the prior art and aims to solve the above said problems. Purpose of the invention is to perform the operation of making pattern with laser in the textile sector by means of making pattern by removal of the dyestuff on various textile products, especially denim fabric, via laser; and by reducing energy and other costs by minimizing the damage of laser on the fabric by means of optimizing the wavelength of the laser used and by increasing the operation speed by means of improving the laser beam absorption capacity of the dyestuff on the fabric.

Another purpose of the invention is to achieve the operation of making pattern in the most effective, correct, and proper manner by means of optimizing the wavelength of the laser beam used in the method (about 9300 nanometres). Another purpose of the invention is to increase the absorption, or in other words the burning capacity of the dyestuff on the relevant textile product with the purpose of making pattern as a result of optimizing the wavelength of the laser beam used. In this way, the purpose is to achieve use of high efficiency laser.

Another purpose of the invention is to perform the operation of making pattern with high efficiency and performance as a result of increasing the dyestuff absorption capacity of the laser beam used. In this way, the purpose is to increase the operation speed up to 3 times.

Another purpose of the invention is to increase the operation speed of making pattern and increase the efficiency of the machine with the high efficiency and performance obtained. In this way, the purpose is to increase the speed of production.

Another purpose of the invention is to obtain clearer, more hard-edged patterns in an easier manner by increasing the dyestuff absorption capacity of the laser beam used. In this way, the purpose is to improve the quality of the patterns obtained and thus the production made. Another purpose of the invention is to reduce the time of the operation by performing the operation of making pattern in high speed. In this way, the purpose is to achieve less exposure of the relevant textile product to laser beam.

Another purpose of the invention is to provide much better absorption of the laser beams with 9.25 nanometres to 9.35 nanometres wavelength than the laser beams with 10600 nanometres wavelength by the dye on the clothes made of indigo and sulphur/indigo dyed fabrics and thus provide significant advantages to the operation.

Another purpose of the invention is to ensure that the relevant textile product is less affected from the harmful impacts of the laser beam by means of reducing the time of exposure of this product to the laser beam. In this way, the purpose is to maintain various quality parameters, especially durability of the relevant textile products at high levels.

Another purpose of the invention is to reduce the amount of laser beam used by means of increasing the operation speed. In this way, the purpose is to reduce wastage in production, especially in terms of laser and energy, and thus reduce the costs due to these wastages. And this provides improvement in the production costs of the relevant textile products.

Description of the Reference Numbers Used in the Figures

10- Pattern preparation 20- Preliminary preparation

30- Operating the machine and making pattern

40- Method of making pattern with laser Detailed Description of the Invention in this detailed description, the method of making pattem with laser (40), which is the subject of the invention, will only be disclosed for better understanding of the subject, and will not form any limiting effect. The invention is a method of making pattern with laser for textile products. Feature of the invention; the wavelength value of the infrared laser beam is between 9.100 to 9.500 nanometres in order to prevent the damage of laser on the fabric by means of optimizing the wavelength of the laser used.

According to this, the invention comprises the steps of: pattern preparation (10), comprising preparation of the pattern to be formed on computer; preliminary preparation (20), comprising placement of the textile product into the relevant machine and loading of the prepared pattern to the machine; and operating the machine and making pattern (30), comprising formation of the desired pattern on the denim fabric with the laser in desired wavelength by means of programming the machine that is ready to use.

In Figure-1 , the representative 2-dimensional view of the flow scheme of the present invention method of making pattern with laser (40) is given. Here, the steps found in the flow scheme of the present invention method of making pattem with laser (40) will be described under relevant titles. Pattern preparation ( 0);

In this step, patterns to be made on the relevant textile product via laser are prepared. The pattern to be applied is prepared in the pattem preparation step (10) on computer environment via the computer software developed for this operation. Some of the points to consider during this preparation (10) are; the area of application of the pattern on the relevant textile product, the colour and the size of the pattern, and how the pattern looks on the relevant product etc. Yet, preliminary preparation (20) is made on the relevant machine in accordance with the said points considered about the prepared pattern. The pattern prepared is sent to the pattem making machine by direct connection or by being loaded to an appropriate transmitter. Preliminary preparation (20);

A few operations have to be completed in the preliminary preparation step (20). As the first one of these, the pattern prepared in the pattern preparation step (10) is transferred to the relevant pattern making machine. Afterwards, the textile product on which pattern would be made is placed in the relevant pattern making machine in accordance with the content of the pattern transferred. Then, the textile product in the relevant machine is checked for convenience with the pattern content loaded to the machine and the lids of the machine are closed.

Operating the machine and making pattern (30); this step is the main step of the method of making pattern with laser (40), which is the subject of the invention. Here, firstly the machine is operated and made ready for the operation of making pattern. Afterwards, the pattern transferred to the relevant machine is made operational. Then, the adjustment of the laser features used in pattern making, which is an improvement of the present invention method of making pattern with laser (40), is made. The most significant characteristic of the laser used is its wavelength. In the method (40) of the present invention, the wavelength of the laser to be used is adjusted between 9.100 and 9.500 nanometres, which is the optimum value for pattern making operation. In the pattern making operation made with this wavelength interval, it is possible to transfer the desired pattern to the relevant textile product with the most clear, easy, and quick way. After the laser adjustment is made, other settings of the machine are also made and the machine is operated for making pattern. After starting operation, the pattern loaded to the machine is transferred to the designed area of the product in a short time and with the desired clarity and quality by means of the laser adjusted to the desired wavelength. Main purpose of the invention is to provide much better absorption of the laser beams with 9.25 nanometres to 9.35 nanometres wavelength than the laser beams with 10600 nanometres wavelength by the dye on the clothes made of indigo and sulphur/indigo dyed fabrics and thus provide significant advantages to the operation.

Successful solution is brought to the above said technical problems with the method of making pattern with laser (40); which provides making pattern by removal of the dyestuff on various textile products, especially denim fabric, via laser; which reduces energy and other costs by minimizing the damage of laser on the fabric by means of optimizing the wavelength of the laser used and by increasing the operation speed by means of improving the laser beam absorption capacity of the dyestuff on the fabric; and which can be commonly used in related fields.
