METHOD FOR MAKING A SURFACE REINFORCED FOAM RUBBER BOARD AND FOAM RUBBER BOARD OBTAINED WITH THIS METHOD

A superficially reinforced foam rubber board manufacturing method provides arranging in a mould chamber (20) at least a compact and thermally expansible plastic material sheet (11) together with a prefixed amount of an expanding additive and a reinforcing net (40) in such a way that net (40) is in contact with a face of sheet (11). Subsequently, the mould 30 and the counter-mould 31 are tightly coupled to close the mould chamber (20) and a thermal treating cycle is carried out, during which sheet (11) and reinforcing net (40) expand homothetically, responsible to the amount of the reinforcing additive, and the foam rubber board is superficially reinforced by the net. The features o£ net (40) are such that the expansion is greater or the same as the expansion rate of the foam rubber board, such to assist expansion. In particular, net (40) has a honeycomb three-dimensional structure where percentage elongation at the elastic limit is set between 110 e 200%, and the foam rubber board is made of a combination of a polyamide/nylon and an elastomer material; a particularly advantageous blend contains 85% polyamide/nylon e 15% elastomer material.
