The present specification relates to a method for a third device to perform device authentication in a wireless communication system, and an apparatus for same. More specifically, a method proposed in the present specification is characterized by comprising the steps of: forming a connection with a first device in order to be provided with a credential token generated on the basis of at least one user account related to a specific user; receiving, from the first device, a first message including the credential token on the basis of the formed connection; broadcasting an advertisement message including a token identifier (ID) generated on the basis of the credential token; and forming a connection with a second device through the device authentication of the second device on the basis of the token ID, wherein the success or failure of the device authentication is determined on the basis of whether (i) at least one user account related to the specific user and identified on the basis of the token ID matches (ii) at least one user account among one or more user accounts related to an account-based pairing filter set in the second device.
