Abstract:
The present invention relates to a smart metering (AMI) system architecture and a method for managing a wireless reading gas meter on the basis of a LoRaWan location recognition result in order to open communication and manage operations, the method comprising: a step in which a network server collects reading data from a gas meter; and a step in which a geo-location server estimates the location of the gas meter on the basis of the signal strength of the collected reading data. Accordingly, a gas company can easily manage inventory by registering, to a system, whether a smart gas meter has been installed by a customer, and a communication company can process the timing for billing by the gas company and can initiate actual gas service.
