Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing an adsorbent having regenerated adsorption performance, using an adsorbent subjected to desorption treatment, said method including the following steps: (1) subjecting a first adsorbent, which has a ceramic skeleton and in which the surface of the ceramic skeleton is modified with a first organic functional group represented by the formula –X1–A1 [in this formula, X1 represents a divalent organic group, and A1 represents a monovalent functional group capable of adsorbing metal and/or metal ions], to a contact treatment with a liquid including said metal and/or said metal ions, and then performing a contact treatment with a desorption liquid, thereby preparing a second adsorbent; (2) subjecting the second adsorbent prepared in step (1) to a heating treatment in an oxygen atmosphere; and (3) modifying the surface of the ceramic skeleton of the second adsorbent heat-treated in step (2) with a second organic functional group represented by the formula –X2–A2 [in this formula, X2 represents a divalent organic group, and A2 represents a monovalent functional group capable of adsorbing metal and/or metal ions], thus manufacturing a third adsorbent.
