Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a method for manufacturing an aluminum-based clad frame member, and an aluminum-based clad frame member manufactured using same. The method for manufacturing an aluminum-based clad frame member comprises: a composite powder preparing step for preparing a composite powder by ball-milling aluminum powder and carbon nanotubes (CNTs); a billet preparing step for preparing a billet from the composite powder; and a direct extrusion step for directly extruding the billet using extrusion dies. The method for manufacturing an aluminum-based clad frame member involves a simple manufacturing process using direct extrusion, which is a conventional method of mass production, and requires relatively simple equipment, and thus is highly cost competitive and suitable for mass production. Moreover, the method can produce a light-weight and high-strength functional aluminum-based clad frame member.
