Abstract:
Provided is a secondary battery which has a high volume energy density and high reliability. This method for manufacturing a secondary battery has: an electrode element producing step of producing a first electrode element (3a), which includes a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate, and a second electrode element (3b), which includes a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate; a tap connection step in which a first positive electrode tap group (40a) of the first electrode element (3a) and a second positive electrode tap group (40b) of the second electrode element (3b) are connected to a second positive electrode collector (6b), and a first negative electrode tap group (50a) of the first electrode element (3a) and a second negative electrode tap group (50b) of the second electrode element (3b) are connected to a second negative electrode collector (8b); and an electrode producing step in which, after the tap connection step, the first electrode element (3a) and the second electrode element (3b) are combined into one so that a second insulating member (80) is disposed between the first positive electrode tap group (40a) and the second positive electrode tap group (40b), and between the first negative electrode tap group (50a) and the second negative electrode tap group (50b).
