Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an anode active material for a lithium secondary battery, an anode active material, manufactured by the method, for a lithium secondary battery, and a lithium secondary battery comprising the anode active material. The method for manufacturing an anode active material for a lithium secondary battery comprises the steps of: coating an anode active material precursor containing Si with a crude tar or a soft pitch; and thermally treating the coated product thus obtained, wherein the crude tar contains 20 wt% or less of low-molecular weight components which can be removed by a distillation process.
