Abstract:
This method for manufacturing belt-shaped glass comprises: a forming step for forming belt-shaped glass G; an annealing step for performing an annealing treatment on the belt-shaped glass G; a cooling step for cooling the belt-shaped glass G on which the annealing treatment has been performed; a direction switching step for switching the feeding direction of the cooled belt-shaped glass G from a vertical direction to a horizontal direction; and a horizontal transport step for horizontally transporting the direction-switched belt-shaped glass G while supporting the belt-shaped glass by means of a horizontal transport part 7, wherein, in the horizontal transport step, the belt-shaped glass G is horizontally transported while applying first propulsions F1 and F1' as forces propelling the horizontal transportation toward both sides of the belt-shaped glass G in the width direction by means of the horizontal transport part 7, and the first propulsions F1 and F1' are greater than second propulsion F2 applied to the center of the belt-shaped glass G in the width direction.
