Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a cap, whereby a thin sheet member can be inserted at a predetermined position at the top inside a cap body without deformation of the thin sheet member or the cap body, and whereby the thin sheet member does not separate when the pressure in a container is reduced. An annular projecting part (50) projecting on a bottom surface side is formed in an annular flat region (6c) of a thin sheet member (6) of an inside plug (10). After the thin sheet member (6) is inserted and installed in a predetermined position inside a cap body (4), or at the same time that the thin sheet member (6) is inserted and installed, the annular projecting part (50) is pressed against a top surface wall (12) in the axial direction and deformed into a nearly flat shape so that the outside diameter of the thin sheet member (6) is enlarged, whereby the inside plug (10) is retained so as to be able to move in the axial direction and not be able to separate from the inside of a skirt wall (14).
