Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a capacitor, the method including a step for manufacturing a case in which a first connection pin terminal and a second connection pin terminal are integrally formed, and a step for housing, inside the case, a capacitor element to which the first connection pin terminal and the second connection pin terminal are electrically connected, wherein, in the case manufacturing step: a metal mold, which has in the interior thereof a mold part formed in the shape of the case, is heated to a temperature equal to or less than the glass transition temperature of a polyphenylene sulfide resin that is the material of the case; and together with heating to the temperature equal to or less than the glass transition temperature, in the metal mold in which the first connection pin terminal and the second connection pin terminal are inserted inside the mold part, polyphenylene sulfide resin in a molten state is injected inside the mold part to form the case.
