Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a case for a portable electronic device, and more particularly, to a method for manufacturing a case for a portable electronic device, characterized by comprising: an adhesive application step of applying an adhesive to the back surface of a sliced veneer sheet; a strength-reinforcing material attachment step of attaching a strength-reinforcing material, having tensile and bursting strengths greater than those of the sliced veneer sheet, to the back surface of the sliced veneer sheet to reinforce the strength of a sliced veneer; an elastic layer formation step of forming an elastic layer, having an elasticity greater than that of the sliced veneer sheet, on a surface of the strength reinforcing material so as to impart elasticity to the veneer sheet; and an injection molding step of inserting the sliced veneer sheet, the strength reinforcing material, and the elastic layer into a mold to surround at least one surface of the portable electronic device, to thereby injection-mold a case body made of a synthetic resin material.
