Abstract:
A method of manufacturing cladding for a laminated battery according to the present invention has, as the material thereof, an austenite stainless steel foil (32) that has a thermoplastic resin layer (30) formed on one face of the front/back faces thereof and has a lubrication film (31) formed on the other face of the front/back faces thereof. In this method, the stainless steel foil (32) is arranged so that the face on which the thermoplastic resin layer (30) is formed is opposed to a punch (42), and drawing is executed onto the stainless steel foil (32) without using lubricating oil, in a state wherein the temperature of a ring-shaped area (32a) of the stainless steel foil (32) with which a shoulder section (42d) of the punch (42) comes in contact is set to be not more than 20°C, and the temperature of an area (32b) outside the ring-shaped area (32a) is set to be not less than 40°C and not more than 100°C.
