Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a color filter of ink-jet type. On a substrate (1) the surface of which is polished and which is made of a transparent alkali-free glass, light-shielding black resist layer (2) and a novolac resin negative resist layer (3) are formed in this order. The negative resist layer (3) is pattered with frames (2a, 3a) by photolithography thereby to form ink-filling regions (4). The ink-filling regions (4) are filled with a red ink (R), a green ink (G), or a blue ink (B) containing 20 weight % or more of solid components by using an ink-jet head, and the solvent in the ink is evaporated to solidify the solid components.
