Abstract:

A method for manufacturing a composite rim, comprising the following steps: covering the outer surface of an air bag (20) with a composite material (10) to form a half-formed rim (30), wherein the air bag (20) is of a completely enclosed loop shape and provided with a thermal expansion material (40) in the interior thereof; placing the half-formed rim (30) in a mold (50); and heating the thermal expansion material (40) so that the thermal expansion material (40) expands to open the air bag (20), and curing and forming the half-formed rim (30).
