Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a compound semiconductor solar cell. A method for manufacturing a compound semiconductor solar cell according to an aspect of the present invention comprises the steps of: forming a sacrificial layer on a mother substrate; forming a compound semiconductor layer on the sacrificial layer; performing primary mesa etching to form a first part having a first thickness at a first region of the compound semiconductor layer and a second part having a second thickness smaller than the first thickness at a second region of the compound semiconductor layer; forming a protective layer on a first surface of the compound semiconductor layer; separating the compound semiconductor layer from the mother substrate; forming a rear side electrode on a second surface of the compound semiconductor layer, which is opposite to the first surface; removing the protective layer; performing secondary mesa etching to remove the second part of the compound semiconductor layer at the second region; and scribing the rear side electrode in the second region.
