Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a Cu delafossite photoelectrode by using electro-deposition, which is capable of producing a photoelectrode by efficiently electro-depositing Cu delafossite on a substrate through electrochemical deposition, and improving a hydrogen generation amount and a hydrogen generation time during water decomposition by using the same, and a method for manufacturing hydrogen using a photoelectrode manufactured thereby. The present invention comprises: a first step of manufacturing a mixture for electrochemical deposition comprising a solvent, a Cu precursor, and a trivalent metal precursor; a second step of depositing Cu delafossite on a substrate through electrochemical deposition after immersing the substrate in the mixture for electrochemical deposition; and a third step of firing the substrate on which the Cu delafossite is deposited. Accordingly, the present invention has the effect of maximizing efficiency by minimizing energy consumption and processes required for manufacturing an electrode and stably maintaining the electrical characteristics of a photoelectrode.
