Abstract:
This method for manufacturing a cylinder device is characterized by forming a bottomed cylinder, the method including: an intermediate molded body processing step for forming, from a blank material, a bottomed cylindrical intermediate molded body having a bottom and a cylindrical lateral wall and having a recessed portion or a projected portion on the inner side of the bottom; and a spinning processing step for inserting a mandrel having an engaging projected portion or an engaging recessed portion engageable with the recessed portion or the projected portion of the intermediate molded body, into the inner circumferential side of the intermediate molded body, and extending the entire length of the intermediate molded body by spinning-processing the outer circumferential side of the intermediate molded body in a state where the intermediate molded body is whirl-stopped with respect to the mandrel by engaging the engaging projected portion or the engaging recessed portion with the recessed portion or the projected portion.
