Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a display device having a small power consumption. This method for manufacturing a display device has: a step for forming, on a substrate, a first layer using a material containing a resin or a resin precursor; a step for forming, in the first layer, a first region, and a second region having a thickness smaller than that of the first region; a step for forming, by performing first heating treatment to the first layer, while flowing an oxygen-containing gas to the first layer, a first resin layer having the first region and the second region having the thickness smaller than that of the first region; a step for forming, on the first resin layer, a display-element-containing layer to be peeled; and a step for separating the layer to be peeled and the substrate from each other. The step for forming the layer to be peeled includes a step for forming a conductive layer at a position overlapping the second region, said position being on the first resin layer, and the method also has a step for exposing the conductive layer by removing the first resin layer after the step for separating the layer to be peeled and the substrate from each other.
