Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a display panel (1) having a display region (11) wherein pixels (110) including an organic EL element (101) and a driving transistor (102) are disposed in matrix. The. The method comprises: a step of displaying, in the display panel that has a defective line which is a prescribed pixel array emitting light with luminance showing no display gradation signal, a lighting line which is a pixel array into which a uniform display gradation signal is input in the display region (11), and overlapping the display of the lighting line and the defective line with each other by scanning the lighting line in rows within the display region (11); a step of reducing a bright section or a dark section in the defective line by uniformly modifying a display gradation in the lighting line, the display gradation being input in the pixel array belonging to the lighting line displayed overlapping with the defective line; and a step of identifying a defective pixel from which the defective line starts on the basis of a position of the reduced bright section or dark section in the display region (11).
