Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a dust core comprising a step for preparing raw material powders that include a pure iron coated powder formed from a plurality of pure iron particles having an insulating coating layer, iron alloy coated powder formed from a plurality of iron alloy particles having an insulating coating layer, and a metal soap, a step for fabricating a molded body by compression molding of the raw material powder filled into a mold, and a step for heat treating the molded body and thereby eliminating distortion in the pure iron coated powder and the iron alloy coated powder, wherein the difference Tm − Td between the melting point Tm for the metal soap and the temperature Td of the mold in the step for fabricating the molded body is 90°C or greater.
