Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing an electrochemical device with which it is possible to solve a problem due to edge lifting occurring when an electrode terminal and an uncoated part are joined, and to inhibit an exterior container from being damaged from the inside. In a method for manufacturing an electrochemical device, an electrode assembly 17 that has two types of electrodes 2, 3 stacked with separators 4 interposed therebetween is accommodated in an exterior container, both electrodes 2, 3 having a coated part in which active material layers 10, 12 are formed on a collector 9, 11 and an uncoated part in which the active material layers 10, 12 are not formed. Said method includes a step for stacking and joining an electrode terminal and an aggregation of uncoated parts in which the two types of electrodes 2, 3 overlap each other by type, a step for pressing the joint between the electrode terminal and the aggregation of the uncoated parts after the joining step, and a step for accommodating the electrode assembly 17 in the exterior container, which comprises a flexible film, after the pressing step.
