Abstract:
A method for manufacturing an electronic component provided with an electronic-component main unit in which an electronic-component element is impregnated with a liquid agent and either the liquid agent is retained or the electronic-component element is dried. Said method has the following steps: a step in which a liquid agent stored in a tank is intermittently discharged from a nozzle provided at one end of a pipe connected to said tank; and a step in which the liquid agent discharged from the nozzle is fed into a container and the aforementioned electronic-component element is immersed in the liquid agent accumulated in the container, thereby impregnating the electronic-component element with the liquid agent. This method also has a step in which light is continuously or periodically shone on one point along the path that the liquid agent discharged from the nozzle follows before reaching the container, a light sensor is used to detect the reflection or interruption of said light due to the liquid agent passing through the aforementioned point along the aforementioned path, and the lengths of time for which said light sensor detects the reflection or interruption of the light are added up in order to measure the amount of the liquid agent fed into the container.
