Title:
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ETHANOL USING RECOMBINANT YEAST
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/063344
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In order to improve the xylose metabolic capability of yeast cells which are capable of metabolizing xylose, this method is provided with a step for soaking yeast cells capable of metabolizing xylose in a solution containing acetic acid, and a subsequent step for culturing the yeast cells in a xylose-containing culture medium to conduct ethanol fermentation.
