Abstract:
This invention relates to a method for manufacturing a flat pipe (1) provided with concave/convex shapes on the inner and outer surfaces. An incision having a shape corresponding to the deployed flat pipe (1) is formed on a metal thin plate (2). When the incision is formed, an intermediate portion (4) (middle portion) with respect to the width direction in the shape corresponding to the deployed flat pipe (1) is left joined to thin plate (2). A concave/convex shape is machined within the range of the shape of the deployed flat pipe (1), and subsequently, a portion having the shape of the deployed flat pipe (1) is cut and raised from the thin plate (2) so as to flank the remaining intermediate portion (4). The tips of the cut-and-raised pieces (8) are closed together to form the overall shape of the flat pipe (1), the remaining intermediate portion (4) is separated from the thin plate (2), and the flat pipe (1) is obtained.
