Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for easily and efficiently manufacturing a fluorine-containing diene compound from a fluorine-containing olefin that can be easily obtained industrially, the method enabling the fluorine atoms to be introduced in the proximity of a carbon-carbon double bond. The present invention pertains to a method for manufacturing at least one type of fluorine-containing diene compound selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by formulas (51)-(53), or for manufacturing at least one type of compound selected from the group consisting of fluorine-containing diene compounds represented by formulas (61)-(63), by reacting an olefin compound represented by formula (21) or an olefin compound represented by formula (31) with a cyclo olefin compound represented by formula (41) in the presence of a metal-carbene complex compound (10) exhibiting olefin metathesis activity.
