Title:
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE FRAME OF A TOOTHBRUSH THAT BRUSHES WHILE SANDWICHING A ROW OF TEETH
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/052274
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
For toothbrushes that can simultaneously brush the labial side, lingual side, and chewing surfaces of a row of teeth, it is clear that if the outer row of bristles could be embedded at an angle of 10° to 15° inwards, effectiveness would improve, but although bristle holes angled at up to 4° can be obtained by forcible removal, it has not been possible to manufacture toothbrushes with greater angles. In the provided method, each pin used for forming the outer row of bristle holes is blocked and put inside a movable mold. The pin blocks are linked to a power source, causing reciprocating or rotary motion. During injection molding, before a molten resin in a cavity cures and the movable mold retracts, an angled pin-block power source operates so that a movable mold having vertical bristle pins retracts after the pin blocks retract.
