Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a full face wheel rim (2) for a steel car, comprising the steps of, in a series of steps for molding the full face wheel rim (2) by pressingly forming a tubular material tube (16), from the inside and outside thereof, by a specified metal mold, pressing a pressing metal mold with a tapered slope or a curved slope against the peripheral edge (14) of one opening (13b) opposed to the other opening (13a) forming a flange part (10) to form a tapered connected opening peripheral end (11), whereby the tapered connected opening peripheral edge (11) can be easily and properly formed in a conventional rim molding step without requiring a new molding step and increasing a production cost, and the full face wheel rim (2) can be joined to a wheel disk (3) with a high joining force since a sufficient penetration can be produced by joining the thus formed connected opening peripheral edge (11) to the rear face of the wheel disk (3) by fillet welding.
