Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a glass substrate for a hard disk involving a polishing step in which the glass substrate surface is polished by circulating a polishing slurry containing polishing slurry particles, wherein the aforementioned polishing slurry being circulated contacts a zeta potential adsorption unit which adsorbs aggregate particles and/or impurity particles in the aforementioned polishing slurry. Optimally, the amount of charge of the zeta potential adsorption unit is adjusted depending on the surface potential of the polishing slurry particles. Optimally, the zeta potential adsorption unit is one portion of a supply tube provided in the middle of the circulation path of the aforementioned polishing slurry. Optimally, the zeta potential adsorption unit is a filter provided in the middle of the circulation path of the aforementioned polishing slurry.
