Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a honeycomb structure in which some of multiple through holes, which open at the end faces of a cylinder and are partitioned from each other by partition walls, are sealed, wherein, by inserting a sealing jig into some of the multiple hexagonal cells of a green honeycomb molding in which multiple hexagonal cells that are partitioned from each other by partition walls open at the end faces of the cylinder, the partition walls are pressed against each other to seal the hexagonal cells. As a result, sealing of the hexagonal cells during the manufacture of honeycomb moldings can be performed very easily.
