Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a honeycomb-structured object that has a plurality of through-holes with sealed ends. Said method comprises: a step in which a sheet (20) is used to press a sealant onto one end surface of a honeycomb-structured object (70) that has a plurality of through-holes (70a), thereby filling one end of each through-hole (70a) with the sealant; and a step in which part of the section of the sheet (20) facing the end surface of the honeycomb-structured object (70) is pushed in towards said end surface, thereby causing the rest of the section of the sheet (20) facing the end surface of the honeycomb-structured object (70) to separate from said end surface.
