Abstract:
The present invention proposes a method with which it is possible to manufacture a steel sheet having a beautiful plating layer without a quality defect such as a plating defect or a pickup caused, in particular, by a distortion in the shape of the steel sheet, when performing hot-dip galvanization or further performing alloying on a steel sheet containing an easily oxidizable element, particularly a high-tensile-strength steel sheet. This method for manufacturing a hot-dip galvanized steel sheet via: an electroplating step for energizing a gap between a continuously running steel sheet and an electrode plate disposed along the steel sheet so as to face the steel sheet so that the electrode plate serves as the anode and the steel sheet serves as the cathode while feeding an iron-based plating solution towards the steel sheet, performing electroplating, and forming an iron-based coating on the steel sheet surface; an annealing step for heat-treating the steel sheet that has passed through the electroplating step; and a hot-dip galvanization step for performing hot-dip galvanization on the steel sheet that has passed through the annealing step, the electroplating step being such that the plating solution discharge rate, which is the ratio of the flow rate of the plating solution flowing out to the back surface side of the electrode plate that is not facing the steel sheet relative to the flow rate of the plating solution fed to the steel sheet is below 50%.
