Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a hydrogenated nitrile rubber having an iodine value not more than 120, the method comprising: a first coagulation step for adding, as a coagulant, a non-halogen atom-containing metallic salt to a latex of a nitrile rubber so as to coagulate the nitrile rubber; a solution preparation step for dissolving the coagulated nitrile rubber in an organic solvent so as to prepare a nitrile rubber solution; a hydrogenation step for performing a hydrogenation reaction on the nitrile rubber solution so as to obtain a hydrogenated nitrile rubber solution; and a second coagulation step for adding, as a coagulant, a divalent metallic salt to the hydrogenated nitrile rubber so as to coagulate the hydrogenated nitrile rubber.
