Abstract:
This method for manufacturing infrared absorbing glass comprises: a preparation step (step S1) in which glass containing, in terms of cation percentage, at least 5% of P5+ and at least 0.5% of Cu2+ as a glass composition is prepared; and a first processing step (step S2) in which the glass is processed using water. The method for manufacturing infrared absorbing glass further comprises a second processing step (step S3) in which water which has adhered to the glass surface is diluted or removed using an organic solvent that is compatible with the water.
