Abstract:
Provided are a method for sublimation transfer recording and a method for manufacturing an intermediate transfer medium for use in sublimation transfer, the intermediate transfer medium being capable of suppressing generation of a ghost when image recording is performed by repeatedly using a substrate. The method for sublimation transfer recording includes: a step for applying a curable ink; a step for forming a porous layer; a step for applying an ink for sublimation transfer; and a step for forming an image on a recording medium. In a state in which the content of a solvent in the curable ink is 70 mass% or more, the porous layer is formed by an active energy ray being radiated onto the curable ink, and the melting point of the porous layer is 100°C or more.
