Abstract:
A method for manufacturing laminated bamboo strips lumber, which belongs to
the field of manufacture methods of laminated veneer lumber, includes the following
steps: selecting the portion close to the cutin of bamboo, and the air-dry density
of the portion is greater than or equal to 0.95g/cm3; processing the
selected portion into bamboo strips with the thickness of 1-4 mm; after the common
treating, drying the strips to the water content of 6-15%; processing the strips
to the thickness of 0.5-3.5mm and the width of 5-22mm, and then drying the strips
to the water content of 3-10%; coating the strips with glue and the amount of gluecoated
is 3-16%; arranging the bamboo strips vertically in the thickness direction
and pressing the strips at a lateral pressure of 3-15MPa and a direct pressure
of 1-6MPa to solidify the lumber. With regard to the laminated bamboo strips lumber
manufactured by this method, its tensile strength parallel to grain is greater
than 220MPa, its compression strength parallel to grain is greater than 120MPa,
and its elastic modulus is greater than 22GPa. The lumber manufactured by this
method has better mechanical properties, lower manufacture cost and is lightweight,
environmental-friendly and energy saving. The lumber manufactured by this
method can meet the requirements of wind power generator blades.
